On 13th January, 2016, Ross Abelow launched his campaign to raise funds for New York animals. His aim was to raise $5,000 from his GoFundMe website in order to cater for their food, upkeep, shelter vaccines and also for the welfare of the homeless animals. This project was established as a campaign to sensitize people on the importance of taking care of animals, especially during extremely cold winter temperatures so as to ensure their present and future survival.
Evidently, he has a great passion for animals, as he has greatly deviated from his legal profession to attend to the unprotected and vulnerable creatures. His focus is on mobilizing other people who love animals to invest their time and money in preventing the escalating animal deaths due to low temperatures and other harsh conditions. Also, he plans to establish more animal shelters for rescued pets and homeless animal so that they are safe from danger.
Based in the city of New York, Ross is a renowned world-class lawyer who began his practice in 1990. His field of practice and expertise is in matrimonial law which deals with marriage issues, and family law which covers all conceivable aspects of family law. Additionally, he has also handled a lot of entertainment law cases, and successfully represented clients in general commercial litigation over the years. Ross is licensed to practice by the State of New York, and he has built a reputable legal name for himself in the last 26 years.
Ross’s younger years were spent in New York where he was a resident, and he attained his undergraduate degree from the State University of New York at Albany. He then proceeded on to the Brooklyn Law School for his law studies and graduated with a law degree in 1989. Currently, he is partner at Abelow and Cassandro, LLP. In addition to his litigation profession, Ross is also a writer who uses both hard copy materials and the social media platforms to educate the masses on legal issues. He is quite a prolific writer.
The animal campaign is expected to bear great results given that Ross has undertaken previous successful ventures in the legal profession. With enough support from the masses and other institutions, the initiative will go a long way in making sure that all animals in New York are well taken care of. After all, they are part and parcel of the larger ecosystem.
